Now, 20 years later, we have grown to be the second largest storage facility in the Santa Barbara area. The Hays Family & Staff
Today Goleta Valley Self Storage is run by the 2nd generation of the Hays's Family, Jan Marco and Joanna von Yurt. They continue to run the business the way it has always been; as a family with a strong attention to detail and keeping up to date with technology. Although Joanna works mostly behind the scenes, you will always see Jan at the facility fixing something or helping customers. With his Swiss and Engineering backgrounds, he brings a level of perfection to even the most basic details. They take great pride in the business and strive to make sure all our customers are well taken care of. They are also the proud parents of two young girls.
Lynn and Dawnna run the office. Lynn has been at Goleta Valley Self Storage for over 15 years and many of you call her your friend. In her spare time she plays tennis and is a Distinguished Toastmaster and loves to help our wine storage customers as her son is an award winning winemaker. Dawnna is a local Santa Barbaran who has worked for us for over 2 years. She is very tech savvy and with our high tech security she keeps a careful eye over the facilities via our digital connections. She also keeps us up to date on Facebook so that our customers are always in touch. In her spare time she spends time with her family and her active 4 year old boy. Both Lynn and Dawnna are here to help you. You will not find friendlier office staff anywhere else.
Ruben is our groundskeeper, our hero really! He keeps Goleta Valley Self Storage looking beautiful and the landscaping perfect. Every Boxwood, Cyprus and hedge never look out of sorts because of his ongoing commitment and attention to detail. He is responsible for all the day-to-day maintenance on the properties and strives to maintain our very high level of detail and cleanliness. He may appear quiet and shy at times but always has a smile to brighten your day. He speaks English & Spanish.
Brian is our technical advisor. He makes sure that the computers and security are all operating and linked for full technical advantages. Often our customers mention that our systems are so thorough and concise and this allows them complete peace of mind when storing with us at Goleta Valley Self Storage. Brian has been our computer technician for well over 10 years and this adds an extra advantage as he knows the systems so very well.
Victor is our Security Guard who lives on the property with his family. He has been with us for over 5 years and watches over our facilities like a hawk. He is especially helpful to our customers who may have after hour emergencies as he is there on the property and therefore he is able to find quick solutions.
